\\ The history of {Shashman Ghut} //

দিনটি ছিল শনিবার। প্রতিদিন এর মতো রাজু চাকরি করার উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে বাড়ি থেকে বের হয়েছে। রাজুর বাড়ি থেকে অফিসে যাওয়ার রাস্তায় একটি শশ্মান ঘাট 

 রাজুর অফিস শুরু হতো সকাল ৮ থেকে রাত ৮ পর্যন্ত। 

রাজু প্রতিদিনের মতো সেদিনও অফিস থেকে ফিরছিল। কিন্ত রাজু ওই দিন অফিস থেকে একটু বেশি দেরি করেছিল। আবার সেদিন ওই শশ্মান ঘাটে একটি মানুষকে পুরানো হয়েছিল। এই কথাটি সে জানত। কারন সে সকালে অফিসে যাওয়ার সময় দেখেছিল এখানে একটি মানুষকে পুরানো হবে। 

এরপর রাজু রাত ১২ টা বাজে অফিস থেকে রওনা দিল বাড়িতে আসার জন্য। সে কয়েক মিনিট পর ঐ শশ্মান ঘাটের সামনে চলে এলো। সে রীতিমতো ভয় পেল। কারন অনেকে বলে বেরাই যে, এখানে নাকি আত্মা অর্থাৎ ভূত আছে। 

তখন রাত অনেক গভীর, সেখানে কেউ নেই একটি রাস্তার কুকুর নেই। সেখানে একটি লাইট আছে সেটাও একটু পরপর নিভে যাচ্ছে। যা দেখে রাজু একটু ভয় পেল। এরপর সে আল্লাহ পাক এর নাম নিয়ে এগিয়ে যায়। হঠাৎ সে মনে করে যে কেউ তার পিছনে আসছে। সে যেসময় হাটে সেসময় মনে হয় যে কেউ তার পিছনে আসছে। সে সময় তার মনে পড়ল যে আমি সু পরে আছি এবং তারই শব্দ বারবার সে পাচ্ছে।

সে এই কথা ভেবে একটু নিশ্বাস ফালায়। এভাবে কিছু ক্ষন যাওয়ার পর সে দেখতে পেলো শশ্মান ঘাটে কে যেন দাড়িয়ে আছে। সে এটি দেখে আরও ভয় পেলো। সে সেখানে দেখতে পেলো যে, "কে যেন সেখানে সাদা শাড়ি পারে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে।" 

এটি দেখে সে ভয় পেয়ে দৈড়ে বাসায় চলে যায়। এরপর কয়েকদিন সে অফিসে যাইনি। পরে দু তিন দিন পর আবার সেই অফিসের জন্য বের হয়েছে। সেদিনও ফিরতে একটু রাত হয়ে গিয়েছিল। সে সেদিন এখানে একা আসেনি সথে তার বন্ধুবান্ধবদের নিয়ে এসেছিল। কিন্তু তার যেসব বন্ধু-বান্ধব ছিল তাদের বাড়ি ছিল শ্মশানঘাটের আগে। তাই সে তার বাড়ির দিকে রওনা হলো একাই।

 সেই শনিবারের মত আবার সেই শ্মশান ঘাট দেখে রীতিমত ভয় পেল। তাই সে ঐ রাতে  নিস্তব্দ গতিতে শ্মশানঘাটের রাস্তাটি পার হয়। এরপর সেদিন সত্যি সত্যি কেউ তার পিছু নিয়েছিল। কিন্তু সেটি কোন সাদা শাড়ি পরা মহিলা নয় সেটি আসলে একটি পুরুষ। যার মাথায় বড় বড় চুল, নখ বড়, মুখ অপরিষ্কার এবং সারা শরীরে লোম দিয়ে ঘেরা। সে তাকে দেখে অনেক ভয় পেল। এরপর সে দৌড়ে গিয়ে আশেপাশে একটি বাড়িতে আশ্রয় নিল।  সে এই ঘটনাটি ঐ বাড়ির মানুষদের  বলে যে, "আমার পিছে একটি ভূত আসছে শ্মশান ঘাট থেকে।" তারা তাকে দেখতে বাইরে বের হয় এবং দেখতে পায় সেটি আসলে একটি মানুষ যাকে গ্রামের সবাই পাগল বলে চেনে। কিছুক্ষণ পর সে স্বস্তির আবারও নিঃশ্বাস ফেলে বাড়ির দিকে রওনা হয়।

সেদিনকার রাত্রের ঘটনাটি সে তার মাকে জানায় এবং তার মা বললো, "তুমি ওই রাস্তা দিয়ে আ র এসো না।" কিন্তু রাজু বলল যে, "মা এই রাস্তাটি দিয়ে অনেক তাড়াতাড়ি বাড়ি ফিরে যায়।" এর পরে মা বলল, "ওই শ্বশান ঘাটে আসলে খারাপ। কারণ সেখানে অনেক মানুষ অনেক কিছু দেখেছে।  আবার তার মধ্যে কয়েকজনতো মারা গিয়েছে।" তখন রাজু বলল, "কিভাবে মা মানুষ মারা গিয়েছে?" তখন তার মা তাঁকে সেই মানুষের কাহিনীটি বলল যে, "একদিন বিদেশি একটি মানুষ এসেছিল সেই রাস্তা দিয়ে। সেই দিন আবার তিন-চারটে মানুষকে সেখানে পুরানো হয়েছিল। সেই ছেলেটি এই এলাকায় ছিল নতুন। সেই ছেলেটি দেখলো যে সেখানে কে না কে যেন দাঁড়িয়ে আছে এবং তাকে তার নাম ধরে ডাকছে সেই ছেলেটি না ভেবে না জেনে ওই শ্মশানঘাটের ভিতরে চলে গেল। এরপর সে কি দেখেছে কেউ জানে না। কারণ সেদিন রাতের পর  আর তাকে জীবিত দেখা যায়নি। সকালবেলা এলাকার সবাই উঠে দেখা যে সেই লোকটি মরে পড়ে আছে। এরপর তাকে সেখানে পুঁতে দেওয়া হয়েছিল। কারণ কেউ জানত না যে সে কোথায় থাকে এবং তার নাম কি। এরপর থেকেই সেখানে সহজে কেউ যাতায়াত করে না, বিশেষ করে রাত্রেবেলা। কারণ লোকজন বলে সেখানে নাকি রাত্রেবেলা অনেক ভূতাত্মা থাকে। তাই কেউ সেখানে যাতায়াত করে না।" 

এরপর রাজু এই ঘটনাটি শুনে তো হতবাক হয়ে গেলেন তখন রাজু বলল, "মা আমি আর ওই রাস্তা দিয়ে যাতায়াত করব না আমি এখন অন্য রাস্তা দিয়ে যাতায়াত করব।" 

The day was Saturday. Every day like this, Raju has come out of the house with the intention of getting a job. There was a shashman ghat on the way from Raju's house to the office. Raju's office was open from 8 am to 8 pm.

Raju was returning from the office that day as usual. But Raju was a little late from the office that day. On the same day, a man was found old at the crematorium. He knew this. Because when he went to the office in the morning he saw that a man would be old here.

Then Raju left the office at 12 o'clock at night to come home. After a few minutes he came to the front of the ghat. He was terrified. Because many people say that there is a ghost here.

Then the night is very deep, there is no one there is no street dog. There is a light that is going out a little. Seeing that, Raju got a little scared. Then he went ahead with the name of Allah Pak. Suddenly he thinks someone is coming after him. Every time he walks, it seems that someone is following him. At that moment she remembered that I was after Su and she was getting her words over and over again.

She gasped at the thought. After walking like this for a while, he saw who was standing at Shashman Ghat. She was even more frightened when she saw it. He saw that there was someone standing there wearing a white sari.

Seeing this, he got scared and went home. After that he did not go to the office for a few days. Two or three days later he went out for that office again. It was a little late to return that day. He did not come here alone that day but with his friends. But the houses of his friends were before the crematorium. So he went home alone.

 Like that Saturday, I was scared to see the cremation ground again. So he crossed the road to the crematorium at a quiet speed that night. Then that day someone really followed him. But she is not a woman wearing a white sari, she is actually a man. He has big hair on his head, big nails, unclean face and hair all over his body. She was very scared to see him. He then ran and took refuge in a nearby house. He tells the people of that house that "a ghost is coming after me from the crematorium." They go out to see him and see that he is actually a man whom everyone in the village knows is crazy. After a while, he breathed a sigh of relief and left for home.

He told his mother what had happened that night and his mother said, "Don't come down that road." But Raju said, "Mom goes home very early this road." The mother then said, "It's really bad at that cremation ground. Because a lot of people have seen a lot there. Some of them have died again." Then Raju said, "How did mother man die?" Then his mother told him the story of that man, "One day a foreigner came by that road. That day again three or four people were old there. The boy was new to the area. The boy saw who was standing there and The boy who called her by name went into the crematorium without realizing it, and no one knows what he saw after that, because he was never seen alive that night, and everyone in the area woke up in the morning to find the man dead. "Because no one knew where he lived or what his name was. Since then, no one has traveled there easily, especially at night. Because people say there are a lot of ghosts there at night. So no one travels there."

Then Raju was shocked to hear about this incident. Then Raju said, "Mother, I will not travel on that road anymore. I will travel on another road now."
